The Cheonan(PCC772) sank due to a surprise torpedo attack from a North Korean submarine while performing a patrol mission 2.5 km southwest of Baengnyeongdo Island on Mar. 26, 2010, at 21:22, Out of the 104 crew members aboard, 46 were died, and 58 were rescued.
